Tomekia Reed has been named the ninth women’s basketball head coach for the Charlotte 49ers. Reed, a three-time HBCU National Coach of the Year, comes to Charlotte following a highly successful six-year stint as head coach of the Jackson State Tigers. Okpara averaged 5.3 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.8 blocks in 70 games in two seasons at Ohio State. One of the most prolific players in 49ers history, Gregory concluded her time wearing green and white as the school’s all-time leader in three categories.
